To simulate the effect of the vibrant hues used in the original manuscripts they have been worked entirely in glistening Anchor Marlitt thread. This is a shiny viscose thread and is therefore a little harder to work with than standard thread.

Only Anchor Marlitt scheme is provided, but if desired you may substitute six-stranded cotton. A pastel alternative is available, displayed above right. Completed design fits a 6" x 8" (152mm x 202mm) frame, and is stitched on 14ct ivory (cream) Aida.
