The Burren Flower Collection

Picture of Burren Flower Collection

Counter-Clockwise from Left: Burnet Rose, Hoary Rockrose, Bloody Cranesbill, Mountain Avens, Spring Gentian, Bee Orchid.

The Burren, about 375sq. miles of North West Co. Clare, is a unique habitat where arctic-alpine and Mediterranean plants grow side by side. Also lime-loving and lime-hating plants may be growing on the same turf. Visit in the Spring to see the flowers at their best.

These kits are quite quick to stitch up. Some three quarter stitches and french knots are used to add realistic detail to these flowers. The designs are stitched on 22 hpi Hardanger material, which simplifies three quarter stitches as stitching is over two threads making it effectively 11 count.

Seen here in 3" circle flexihoop with white Hardanger fabric. See also our Sampler Wall Hanging.

Chart and colour pictorial reference supplied, P&P included in price.
